    I own this model, bought it in 1994 or so.
    I had to exchange the battery (once!!!) since then and i cant remember anything special to do.
    So just an AC should work!

    yes tried that in and out the light works the display comes up but seems frozen so think it got to be jumped

    think the video might be the answer so am going to open it again and see if I can jump start it a bit later

    ah that might be where the one number is for there was that had two digits that spun round so could be the last part of a year date is it ? will give it a try
