An interesting Canadian, much like myself and a few others around here.

Didn't have a great days today, and through mustering up all of the responsibility I can I have decided to start drinking!
My favourite, 'bleeding' manhattan, with all of my preferred ingredients.

Anyone familiar with Teeling? Really, really nice. Got a bottle of Green Spot as a present and enjoyed it so I decided to try some more Irish. The Teeling is my favourite so far.
The problem is that my local shops only had one bottle each left which, of course, I couldn't risk falling into the wrong hands. Less than half a bottle left...

Over the past 2 weeks I've picked up:
Four Roses Single barrel
Blanton's
Bulliet
Eagle Rare
PS I know it's bourbon but I wanted to share.

All good. Mrs K and I are in the middle of a head to head test of Booker's True Barrel vs unfiltered Small Batch (127.3 proof vs 127.7) The True Barrel is my favourite over proof bourbon.

Very interesting,. Despite being virtually the same proof the Small Batch seems significantly more alcoholy. It is much dryer and woodier, more rye like if you will, but has a distinctly bourbon caramel/butterscotch finish. Like the regular Booker's it lingers for ever. I like it. Mrs. K likes it too, despite her preference for the sweet end of bourbon.
