The Valjoux 7750 is a 12h chronograph. The sub-dial at 9 is the time running second. The 6 O'clock sub dial is the chrono hour totalizer (12 hours) and you should have a minute totalizer at 12 O'clock (30minute) like one the watch pictured here bellow. Every time the minute totalizer at 12 O'Clock does a full revolution, the 6 hour subdial adds half an hour. Therefore the dash marks in between the numbers on that sub-dial.

On the Hamilton, it's impossible to tell how many minutes the chrono has been working since that 30 minute sub dial is missing. It's basically one, if not the most useless chrono on the market. A very bad mistake.

Hope my explanation is clear.
