You nailed it. Keep the head and ditch the bracelet for a strap. I have two blue rubber straps coming. Otherwise it is what I've come to expect for this level of Seiko diver. It is a solid everyday piece with the swagger of an exceptional vintage piece. A loaner Pepsi 6309 was the first auto diver I've ever worn. So while a black dial would be more accurate, this blue one makes the watch. Now if the rest of me was back to it's 1985 level we would be in really good shape.

I've seen strapcode make some bracelets for the turtle series.. but i quite fine with the factory bracelet although this watch will be on straps for a while so i could got my money worth as i purchase it as a model for my handmade straps..

I was expecting another watch yesterday, but the USPS tracking goes cold on Sept 2 in Los Angeles. It's happened to me before, hoping it turns up this week.

There's been a lot of great watches being purchased and posted here lately....and I'd be happy to have any one of the above in my watch box! Superb choices you guys!

I have a soft spot especially for the Tourby, Magnus.....that gets a double WOW!!! Oh, who am I kidding, I just went back and looked at the Glycine and Damasko again and they all get double WOWs!!!

I'm good with the fit of the bracelet. As I said I don't need a bracelet although I could not see an aftermarket bracelet mismatch the watch worse than this Seiko OEM. It will be fine on rubber, and compliment as opposed to detract as this bracelet does. I did not see the Seiko strap being an option on the PADI in the US?
