I made one a while back out of a solid piece of 304L stainless. Takes a Parker insert. Showed this pic to one of my co-workers (engineering side, I'm grunt side) who mentioned he likes pens. Now I've got a stick of ebonite hard rubber, some obscure taps and dies, a pile of assorted grit polishing stuff, and a couple German-made JoWo #5 steel nibs, Schmidt converters, and a bunch of dimensioned drawings. So some solid ebonite prototypes coming up in the next couple weeks. And he wants to engineer up a fancy custom filling system later.
