London, I am NOT a cockney, though I live nearer to Bow Bells than most "cockneys" do.

Have you tried, or do you plan to take the bezel off?
Just wondering as mine is about a fifth of a second off centre, I had a tentative prod at it but it seemed to be pretty tight.
I do know it is a standard Seiko spring ring and fixing ring arrangement but the only vid I found looked a bit careless abut scratching the thing to pieces.

I gave it a quick try, but like you I didn't want to scratch it.
Apparently the thing to do is turn the bezel until it's not in line and use a thin blade to pop them apart....

I had a tentative try then discretion was the better part of valor

Trying on the military style dial.
I don't like the blobby lume on the original dial, but I do like how sharp the military style dial looks.
So, with gold hands and white second hand

    Hmm.
    Nope

    With original white hands

    Better, but still no cigar.
I'm going to keep the dial for the time being.

Just a case of choosing the right hands to go with.

Most certainly would, although Smeagal has claimed it!

I do have an orange face that would fit a 5 case
