    Basel 2017 - Nomos

Nomos is certainly living up to their reputation for doing their own thing.

Two new offerings include the Club Campus and the Ahoi Neomatik.

A California dial is the last thing I would expect to see from Nomos, but a California dial is what they did. The design is clean, as you'd expect from Nomos, but the two Roman numerals certainly give the Club a different look. It's also the first California dial I know of with pinkish markers available. The best part is the price: $1650 for the larger model. Let's see if the Swiss brands are paying attention.

The Ahoi Neomatik uses the DUW 3001 movement from the Minimatik, which allows for a decently sized 36mm diameter and 9.5mm thickness. Price is over $4000. The white and Atlantik dial colors are offered, but the real story is the new signalrot and signalblau dials.

Poking around on the Nomos website reveals a few more new models. They have also added several colors for the Club models, including Atlantik dials and the Signalblau and Signalrot, like the mini-Ahoi models pictured above.

If I'm not mistaken, they have also added new anthracite-dialed Zurich and Orion models as well.
