I never overuse literally - it's a pretty peeve of mine. I did literally mean literally in this case though (in relation to vs browser browsing).

Has the font changed, or it is just me?

Just you, I think. My ancient and slightly rickety computer sometimes renders it a little differently.

No changes to the font since the early days of the site.

I get some incredibly annoying behavior when I post from my iPhone 5 using Safari:

First, when I set input focus to the editing window and select font & size the first character I type comes out lower cased, even though the virtual keyboard on my phone indicates it's upcased.

Second, if I use backspace to erase text, instead of deleting the previous text, it shifts the insertion point to the beginning of my text and starts erasing there. If I've quoted another post it starts erasing that instead of the text that I was typing before I hit backspace. Subsequent uses of backspace sometimes do this and sometimes don't. Weird and very annoying.

Third, if I've selected a font & size other than the default, if I then move the insertion point to a new line sometimes the formatting returns to the default font & size, and I have to manually reset it to the font & size I had previously selected.

Dunno what any of this means, but it makes posting from my phone a royal pain.

I only frequent one other forum, and it doesn't happen there.
