    Beijing watch factory

Thought I'd start a new thread instead of using the Chat thread.

Was browsing through the "new" Bwaf website ( www.beijingwatch.com ) and came across a few interesting pieces I hadn't seen before.

There was also a link to a product catalogue: http://www.beijingwatch.com/uploads/...7223345541.pdf

    On to the pics:
Couple of tourbillions I hadn't seen

    Not new but nice

    These I've not seen

Also interesting that the only movements they mention by name is the B18, B24 and their tourbillions. Gives extra thought to that perhaps the rest are bought in.

So where do we think they are going. Are we going to see only higher end stuff from Beijing going forward? Certainly seems that way....

Not sure those are real tourbillons.
Aren't they more like "open hearts" IE escapement windows?

Nope, those are proper tourbillons. Developed in-house as well.
BWAF have 5 or 6 different tourbillon movements in production right now. Even gyro ones. Their latest ultrathin is only 2,9mm

Those Tourby's are really nice, especially the black-red version.

Is there a name for this style, or is it Dauphine also when they are concave like here?

Speaking of the ultra-thin tourbillion (TB10)

Anyone seen a watch with it? Can't find one on the site and only thing coming up when googling is this article from 2015: http://www.eastwatchreview.com/blog/...tch-clock-fair

But never seen that watch elsewhere

    Hhmmm.
Some are not very Beijing looking imo
    more

    http://fiyta.com/

Some look odd until checking that they've broken the half rule, which makes them even bigger , 44mm with 20mm strap

Noticed far awhile new models seem to not use their own movements. Someone elsewhere asked at Beijing and was told the are made in-house though, next gen. perhaps as B16 nothing special imo.

Wonder about the lugs on the black dial, red release (?) or just show, there is also a silver dial too that is less for some reason.

One hand, minute with hour dial perhaps.

Good to see some new SB18's , pity same style case, and not a no-date version as well.

The silk are amazing, sheer art. Unsure how they would last over time though.

Cut-out near 2 is odd, power reserve, day/night. Some show a power reserve

A little while back their tmall site showed some never seen before , at the time thought concept, work in progress. Could be they really are bringing some to market
