    Technical assistance anyone? Bulova help

    Hey Folks,
One of my best friends gave me a Bulova Millenia watch, this one does tide and moon phase but for the life of me I can't figure out how to set the moon part, it's an actual moon phase function and not an am/pm indicator. It's a very nice watch I have to say but the Millenia line is a complete mystery to me.

If anyone is familiar with the line and can help with this issue I'd really appreciate it.

Check the description on this ebay sale. It may help. Looks like a very nice watch!

I tried looking for a manual for it, but nothing I found specifically addressed the moonphase. My guess would be to pull the crown to position 1 and turn the crown the opposite direction (i.e. if hour advancement is achieved by turning the crown towards 12 o'clock, then turn it to 6 o'clock). Every watch I've had with an extra function like that has been set that way.

Tried all of that. Something tells me it's super easy but there's probably an order like you see in quartz chronographs.

    Thanks though.

Some extra Googling shows that the manual for that movement is 536M - and it is missing from Bulova's website. I did find a Wordpress site that claimed to have it but download attempts became very questionable with possible malware, so I stopped that immediately. It's an interesting challenge.

I sent the seller from that ebay listing a message to see if he remembered how to set it. Here is his reply. I will post the instructions once they are found.

    "Hi Victor —

I know the watch you are talking about. The movement is actually manufactured by a company named "French Ebauche" and is also the same movement used in some of the Rip Curl Tidemaster watches. The following three eBay links should show you watches that are currently on eBay. You will notice that while the design of these watches is different than the Bulova Millennia tide watch, the placement of the tide subdials, moonphase and date are in the exact same positions on the watch face.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Exc-Cond-Men...UAAOSwz71ZUAfc

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rip-Curl-ATS...AAAOSwhilZY4Xi

Anyway, the setting instructions are so rare for this movement, I had to create one from scratch. It is in PDF format and I just need to find it. I will follow-up later with another Email with a link to the PDF.

    Take care,

    Wayne"

The RipCurl was a good tip. Have a look here:

This is a 2 button version, so still no help, but I am looking through their PDFs linked here:
