Don't know whether to laugh or cry

Saw this on Zenith's Facebook page, the new Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Grand Voyage II. Here is the link to their website.

On the one hand, the classical part of me really enjoys when craftsmen do their work. I remember some of the vintage pocket watches that had colored ceramic scenes. But. But this is on the backside of the watch. That's more lost than a nicely elaborated movement with a scc-through back.

I found this picture to be fascinating. I am still wondering if it was really taken or computer drawn. The nuances of light and shadow are almost surreal to me.

And here is the obligatory overall shot. I held one before. It is a small beast. And I am never sure the back would set well on my wrist.

You had me at bare boobies

I'm sorry, that looks a mess , the front is a veritable cacophony of mechanics, and all the colours on the backside, never mind the actual image, is just way over the top.

These guys must be on drugs ?

I'd say we normally ban these words, but there they are staring at us.

FWIW, some of the painted ceramic dials on vitnage pocketwatches were not any better.

It does appear that they are using the Colomb movement to base some of their more fanciful works of art.

    If you have to ask...

No price listed, but the first version of the watch listed for $353,000. No, really. So I assume this one will be at least that much (only ten pieces, order now to avoid disappointment).
