Cropped version of yesterday's picture. The lume isn't this colour, by the way. There was a blue cast to the picture, and the lume is white, more or less, glowing green. The hands and indices also look to be a different shade, which they aren't to the naked eye. I wonder if some freakish aspect of the light has revealed a true difference, or if it's a matter of angle, depth, shadow, etc?
Rolex don't make their own hands, so maybe some small variation, normally invisible, is possible.
Hands (and crystals) seem to be the last vestige of the traditional system of buying in components that are better left to specialists. Rolex hands are made by Fiedler, who also supply Audemars Piguet, Omega, Patek Philippe, Piaget, Roger Dubuis and Vacheron Constantin, amongst others.
Estima is another specialist supplier of watch hands. I saw packages from Estima when I visited Stowa.
I'd like to know more about companies like Fiedler. There should be a book.

I don't know, maybe the watch had a service before - with Rolex that always means new hands and for a good reason - if it did, that would explain the different shade between hands and indices. It wouldn't bother me at all. Better than have sloppy hands freely moving around the dial...
