I don't like the smell or taste. However, this Vietnamese coffee (G7) I drink is not bad.

So you don't like the smell or the taste, but you still drink it?

There are tons. They're mostly Mormons or children, though.

I LOVE coffee, and it's my morning routine ritual. Most times I use a pour-over method painstakingly pouring hot water over freshly ground beans ground from a conical burr grinder.

When I make it at home, I'm a French press man. I boil filtered water in my kettle and then make it in the press. Delicious.

I have a French Press, and used it for years, but now I prefer the Chemex method much better. I also have a Technivorm brewer.

Chemex seems too involved for me. I like my press because it's great coffee and very easy, cleanup included. I'm not going to say I don't like the ritual of it, but most days I don't make coffee it's because I don't feel like the hassle. I'm usually reaching for the Red Bull instead.

I here ya, but I actually enjoy the ritual. Though since we have the Technivorm, that's what I use when I don't feel like the hassle. Once in a blue moon I'll pull out the French Press. It's great, but I compost my coffee grounds and it's more of a pain to scoop those out than to take the filter out of the Chemex or from the brewer.

My girlfriend is all about the Chemex, so I recently got one for when she’s staying over. I have to say, I’m not a fan. It’s the paper filters. They take all the taste out of it. The coffee feels thin and flat without oils you get in a French press. But, I got a metal filter for it, which lets the oils through, so that is a nice middle ground that gives us coffee we both like. However, I still prefer a French press.

I change with my mood... It's mostly now the Technivorm lately, because I've been lazy... but the Chemex is still my fave followed by the french press as a very close second. Just depends on my mood. Yes, the Chemex is definitely a cleaner cup, and I quite like that.
