    WRUW September 2017 starts here:

Welcome my vintage friends. so my downsize continues this time it is some vintage trench watches and this unbranded trench a like watch never sussed what movement it was it was early 1900's at a guess give or take ten years say, looks to have a roll gold case brass movement my guess a ladies pendant type movement would not be unheard of them using ladies movements. In early men's wristwatches, gold hands and a sub-six could to with a bit of tlc on the cosmetic side but for some thing heading up to a hundred years old it holds a decent charge ad the timing is almost faultless it was made to last but just don't wear it really so thought off to some one who might not that I have put it on the bay yet not got round to it but soon will. so me thinks one last outing for the old girl.

Have a lovely month ahead guys wishing you all the best

    As always Ismy

If this hadn't survived at least one World War, I'd dare to call it cute...

    Very interesting piece.

the silver hallmarks date it to Birmingham. England 1917/1918 so around the end of the first world war

Out of curiosity, what size is it? Unless you're built like Popeye I'm guessing sub 30mm...

I thought antique pieces of this period often had pocket watch movements?

Not all pocket watches were big.

That goofy little sub-pocket in Levi's jeans is a watch pocket.

Edit: Found this reference pic on the net:

depends really as dinman says there was lots of size pocket watch's plus you had ladies pendant watches and cocktail watches so in theory could have been a movement used that would also have gone in to ladies watches

take this very early I suppose you would call it a tank watch this has a early ladies movement from a guess
