These threads will run for six days for voting Sunday - Saturday.. every Saturday the winner will be put forward and the not so lucky watch will be out...
And then on the Sunday a draw will be done for the next round and so on till all the first rounds are drawn then the winners will go head to head in random draws till there is only one .....
Then they get bragging rights, gifts and badges galore .....
The two to be pulled randomly out the hat are in order of them being pulled is :
Fuzzy B : Juvenia
Someday I will try to clean up the dial and movement a bit, but for now the original character will remain. What drew me to this one was the movement. It is a tidy little thing and the gold chatons and snail finishing in the winding mechanism hints at a decent movement. The delightfully quirky bezel also adds a bit of character to a relatively simple dial.
Matt : certina
The beating heart of this hand finished confection is a superlative Cal.25.651 high beat automatic, lovingly enrobed in a thick layer of creamy Swiss brass, topped with pure sapphire crystal, and lightly strapped in IWL colours
As always Ismy

Had to be the Disco Volante Juvenia for me. Even though the certina mvmt kept it close

It doesn't get much harder than this, and it's my watch in the competition.
Both are classic vintage watches, both have a funky style all of their own and both have outstanding movements. The Certina has an inhouse movement that IMHO holds its own against the equivalent Rolex movement, but as I explained in a previous round, the Juvenia is rather special and has a movement that has been used (without the extra shock proofing) by several of the great watch houses, is capable of being fettled up to chronometer standard and has a reputation for indestructibility.
I think that if I didn't have a horse in the race, I'd probably go Certina simply as they are one of my top five favourite brands. However, in this case, that doesn't seem a fair reason, so I'm voting for the Juvenia.

Love them both - the Juvenia movement is lovely. Nearly a tie, but I voted for the one with a seconds hand.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I've voted for the Juvenia, the beautiful movement swung it for me.

I'll return the favor. I love the case on that Certina. That is a watch I'd gladly wear.
