    **** M.F.S.I.I.T.W.I - level 3 - round one ****

Well we have been doing a more for a score - In It To Win It thread for the last few months so now all of the watches are in. We get to the fun bit of looking at them and voting ..

All comments are welcome voting is open to all for those who use tapacrap just say so in your post and who you want if you want to join in ... All are welcome as I say ..

There is going to be a mystery prize thanks to the kindly donation by Alan and of course the badge but think we mainly did it as a bit of fun and frolics ..

    level one winners :

round 1) crownpuller : timex ssq
    round 2) DJW : Luch 2209
    round 3) Matt : Certina
round 4) Litlmn : casio AMW
round 5) Meijlinder : tianjin Dong Feng.
    round 6) Fuzzy B : Juvenia
    round 7) Ismy : Casio MTD-1067D-1AVEF chronograph.
    round 8) Ro63rto: Seiko 5

    level two winners :

    round 1) Ro63rto: Seiko 5
round 2) Crownpuller : timex ssq
    round 3) DJW : LUCH 2209
    round 4) Matt : certina

The rules well everything has to have rules

1 ) can only vote once whether by vote or post....

    2) think we don't need any more do we

These threads will run for six days for voting Sunday - Saturday.. every Saturday the winner will be put forward and the not so lucky watch will be out...

And then on the Sunday a draw will be done for the next round and so on till all the first rounds are drawn then the winners will go head to head in random draws till there is only one .....

Then they get bragging rights, gifts and badges galore .....

The two to be pulled randomly out the hat are in order of them being pulled is :

    Ro63rto: Seiko 5
    Model SBW031
    7019-5000 aka "Monaco wannabe"
    Full length original bracelet
Watch was probably used to dig for potatoes it was so dirty.
It runs, keeps time to within 1min/day

    DJW : LUCH 2209
    Gains 1min 20secs in 24hrs
Matched with a white nato strap
cost £7.90 all in, needed new click spring (kindly donated by your friend and mine ISMY)

    As always Ismy

Lovely movement in the LUCH, but I'm not much for bright colours and I'd rather look down at the Seiko on my wrist; plus I'm very much a bracelet kind of guy, so the Seiko gets my vote.
Some people have opinions - The rest of us have taste.

I love a good 2209 - one of my favorite Russian movements, but I would actually wear that Seiko.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Another difficult one, but I'm with the consensus I'm afraid, usually I'm a bit sniffy about seiko fives, but this one just looks absolutely lovely. As I said before, it's got that style nailed and I'd wear it with a grin. I do actually feel a bit guilty and shallow not to be giving a vote to the Luch though as that's a near perfect example of a rarer, more interesting yet less appreciated, watch.

    Funkiness and wearability - Seiko.

By the way, my appreciation to ismy and all who participate in this contest. It's a sociable feature of the forum and it puts some fascinating watches in the spotlight.

    awww thanks

love me a 2209 but not sure on the dial colour and do like me a fighter and that seiko has had to do some fighting to get here so think I will go with the underdog and go seiko
