Micro brand SAS Dubh Linn diver which specs out great. Or
Tissot Seastar 1000, which has the display back I love.
Comparable prices and Specs, which would you get and why?

SAS Just love the look waaaaaay better...but I'm a simple guy...
I had a SAS and found the case wasn't that comfortable. Well made though. Struggling to get past the seconds hand on that Tissot.
I vote for SAS !
I own the SS version of that one. Love that case and dial/hand set very much.
It is a real tool watch.
The hand set of the Tissot looks a bit silly.
BTW, the overall look of the Tissot is not my taste.

SAS because i do not like the hands on the Tissot.
Absolutely the Tissot. The SAS is very much a copied style (sandwich dial and case design) while the Tissot looks like no other. Love it or hate it, at least it's original. The overall look is clean and classic. And the specs are anything other the comparable. The Powermatic 80 of the Tissot is a league above.

SAS would be my choice, I just like the overall look of it - a very cohesive design. The Tissot's handset looks cartoonish to me, and I'm assuming the lug width is 19 or 21mm, which is the norm for Tissot, and makes finding straps a little more difficult.
Definitely the SAS. I'm not a huge fan of PVD but it's still the better looking watch by far and I've heard great things about their work.
"Today" the SAS, digging the "matte" look. Ask me tomorrow and I may have a different answer.
