This weekends snow was a very pretty snow. One of the prettier snows we've had in a while. The weatherman claimed we would only get a dusting and we ended up with about a foot. Our electricity went out (some ppl close by are still without power 3 days later).
Our heat is electric and with wind chills way below freezing the only reason our house stayed reasonably warm is the foot deep snow blanket on the roof held the heat in the house. I have backup propane heat but it really never got that cold in the house so I didnt use it.

Shoveling snow gets old quick but otherwise I dont mind a good snow if I can stay at home and not worry about driving when the road is full of people that dont know how to drive in snow. Luckily I had this weekend off work and stayed home.

Now when I was growing up I loved it when we got a deep snow that hung around for days and I spent many thousands of hours outside playing in it.

iyonk if you lived close by I would gladly trade hot chocolate for some help with the shoveling.

Made a walk today to the beach.
Night, 0°C and some frosty wind means empty roads in Boltenhagen.
A christmas tree was on the pier.
Found an G-shock display at the main shopping walk, though!

    AE-1200 was on the wrist!

    Nice looking gshock display mac.

There are no stores close to me that have a decent gshock display. Only a few basic models available for me to look at and try on.

May be a good thing for my wallet because I hesitate to order before trying them on.
