I just came across this and I'm drooling--the 2018 thread

I've wanted a jump hour watch for years, and I've looked at this Oris before, but it was more than I wanted to spend for a novelty. But now I've come across it on a gray market site for 70% off list...

40.5mm x 11.3mm, good size although the thickness is a bit more than ideal because it's using a DD module on top of an SW-300 movement. Sorely tempted.

This is quite well done. Cheapest price I saw just checking now was $1395. If it were under $1000, would be tempting to quite a few people I bet.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Yep, that's the price. Under a grand and I would already have pulled the trigger. Still, 70% off list is nothing to sneeze at...

It doesn’t work for me. I want to drag the circles down the dial a bit.

Surprisingly I'm really feeling this Christopher Ward C5 Malvern 595. No date, hand wound, and less than 6mm thick.

    It seems to be polarizing.

    Guilloché is weird
It looks great in photos, but I find it disappointing in real life (perhaps because it’s harder to control the light)

Well, there’s guilloché and then there’s guilloché, if you know what I mean. Done right, it can be spectacular both live and in photos.

Breguet guilloché is exemplary. One of the best in the industry.
