Thread: Perlon Problems

  1. #21
Suspect the strap fibres are picking up on the spring bar flanges, compressing the plunger to release. Had similar probs. a while back.
Smooth , well fitting spring bars shoul be fine, as used by Vostok

note, can be murder to remove from a bracelet, or even fit , due to their size and shape.
    Good luck

They should have put that groove near the tip so a typical springbar tool fork could grab it.

That would scare the crap out of me. Deep Blue recently dropped some perlon straps I was interested in. Dumb question, is perlon waterproof?

Thanks! Might look for canvas or sail cloth instead. I typically keep things factory but instead of splashing out on a new watch I'm thinking refresh some of the looks I own.

Yes, perlon is waterproof - it's a synthetic material.

Only the good ones (Eulit) are actually made from perlon. The cheaper ones are ordinary nylon.

Someone at the other place had a perlon issue with their Tudor Heritage Chronograph as well. Springbar came right out.

I've used the Eulit perlon straps - really nice.
