**** More for a score ~ those that could have been ****

well here's a thread for those interesting more for a score comp lots that went to high or just was a fun interesting lot or those bought for the comp then won't be used for the comp or whatever you saw even maybe ..

Take my T-34 tank clock saw it for the comp could not get that last fiver off it so no good for the comp ( bought for £30 all in )

position shot of it in a T-34 tank

but had it anyway then arrived not working so got a half refund making it eligible for the comp just... but could not get it working so won't be the one I will be entering ..

Lets see all those ones we bought just because we had to

For the sake of a mere £2, I guess this qualifies:

For me, the big one was this:

Apart from looking lovely, it takes the 'egg timer' ring of the ordinary small alarm clock and turns it into a clear silvery chime. Galadriel's alarm clock sounds like this. I'm actually using it.

The Zim arrived today from Russia. Packaging had me a little worried that something might have gotten lost in translation. It winds and runs, so now I just need to clean it up. I have 2 others en route so we’ll see which one gets the nod for the comp.

This is entirely everyone else's fault.

    But...

    How about a lady's Tudor for £28?

I guess with a bit of pushing this could be a player: it's quartz, but it's 1978 so just old enough old enough and is a five jewel movement with blueprinted crystal but no TC offering ten seconds a month (if not completely foxed):
