8 new stones, a clean and adjust with a minor repair, and it's back on the wrist.

I hate to say it publicly but I don't know what he did . I left the watch with the jeweler and they dealt with the local watchmaker who services most all of the local stores. When the total quote came back at $225 I just nodded yes.

    Houston we have a problem.

A day or two after it returned and after a day or two of wrist time Jeanette noticed a missing link. Does anyone know if this can be replaced?

That's a shame , it wasn't missing in your first pictures , did it go missing at the service or at home? It looks like it presses on if you can find it . I'm sure we will all have a look for a spare , fingers crossed.

yes the case is a bit more unusually the movement dial not so much had a few ..but that style of case not seen many I would also believe that it would have been pushed on probably even hammer on with the bar being slightly bigger then the hole will check some thing and see maybe a donor bracelet is an option ..but as djw said did it come back that way from the jewellers if so get them to sort it and pay doing it and if necessary for replacing the part I am sure they would have the materials and skill to make a new bar worse case

We are 95% sure it came back intact. It probably began to loosen when they cleaned and polished the links. After 2 days of wear that piece could be anywhere. Last night on Ebay I did find a watch with a nearly identical bracelet but it sold in December, so maybe another will eventually come up.
