I don't like the functionality available from the VK64 - that 24H sub dial is as useless as a sub dial can be - however, I can fully understand why it is chosen by a variety of brands and that's fine.
I haven’t had any issues with the ST-19 chronos that I personally have owned but I can totally understand why you wouldn’t buy one again.

Yeah that 24hr subdial is not the best choice, a running seconds would have made the movement a killer choice for anyone looking to produce a bi compax chrono!

The NE-86 is one of the movements we will be looking at for our DL63 V2 and future 3-9 designs.

Apart from that, I’ve had no problems and actually have a complete spare movement due to surprisingly enthusiastic Chinese warranty support. The Russian equivalent appears entirely unbreakable in comparison. I’m surprised that these haven’t been used by some enterprising microbrand at some point as I assume they’d be cheap enough.

I think the big one for me would be weight. I found the Prs 5 strangely light and didn’t keep it. I’d be interested to hear if this has a bit of heft to it, although I also don’t like the idea of no second hand.
I had a watch with an ST-19. Within a few days, the movement broke. After that, I was done. Rather have the mechaquartz than that.

It’s a common story. There’s nothing wrong with the design as the Venus has a rock solid reputation. A bit more effort on QC and probably metallurgy would change everything.

Cool. Then the quartz is. I have no idea about the mechanical.
