I responded to him this morning, saying that I’d love to sell it to him, but it would be unfair to other bidders, and that I hope he wins. As per my research, he’s done nothing against the eBay rules since he didn’t ask to complete the transaction outside of eBay.
I’m skeptical this is even going to go up to $200, but I’d rather get paid the right way.

he also calls it by a common shorthand (SBL for Saddleback Leather), but I don't know if this sort of thing is even allowable by eBay's policies
Truncating saddleback leather to SBL is perfectly allowable .... anywhere, even on ebay.
