Pumpkin Pie
So I recently realized this is a North American thing. I guess I should have realized that, but never really thought about it before.
It's mostly eaten at Thanksgiving. Which is the day after tomorrow for us. I'm cheating a little and will serve pumpkin cheesecake instead of pumpkin pie, but I do love my pumpkin desserts.
What graces other harvest feast tables that I might not be familiar with?

We don’t have one...
There’s a churchy thing based on pagan rites of some sort - but no feasting.

Despite being earlier in the year, the Canadian Thanksgiving meal is much like the American one.
We don't do sausage gravy and a quick glance showed more than a few recipes for Thanksgiving grits. We don't do those up here either.

My mom has traditionally always made pumpkin pie and apple pie for Thanksgiving. I can never say no to pumpkin pie.

The equivalent feast in Poland would be dożynki with the kołacz dożynkowy. This is a folk tradition and mostly rural, though, I can't remember to have ever participated in these festivities or eaten the pastry.

This year Mrs. K made pumpkin scones and we ate those for breakfast.

My parents whole-heartedly embraced Thanksgiving after emigrating to the U.S. (turkey, potatoes, cranberry sauce) but Mom always made Greek desserts. Through the years my siblings and I incorporated more traditional American desserts - both pumpkin and sweet potato pies. I'm cheating a bit this year and plan to use canned pumpkin filling.

Cranberries!
Caranberry sauce, bread, scones, syrup, compote, pies, I love it all.
I can do without everything in a Thanksgiving meal except cranberries. Don't even like turkey or pumpkin.
The day after Thanksgiving, they go on sale for about 50% off, I'll pick up and freeze about 5-6 kilos to get through the year.

I'm with you on the cranberries. My wife just finished her fresh from scratch cranberry sauce. One less thing to do on Thursday.
I kind of like these Cranberries too.

I've got about 1/2 k left from last year. I think I'll make some brandied cranberry sauce tomorrow.
