Get ready to sell your Grand Seikos.......
....because Hodinkee just did an article on them!

Buy now before the Hodinkee price bump and wait a bit to sell during the frenzy.
Although, I have to say their new steel model is pretty nice. Elegant, simple, straightforward—something I didn’t think GS was capable of anymore. Manual wind, no power reserve messing up the dial, and a decent price too. Steel is $5,700 and the gold is $17,200. Shame the steel is limited to 1960 pieces, that could have been a staple of collections everywhere.

Why should we sell them? I'm keeping mine.

I think I'll just wait another 45 years and pick them up at a discount. Let all those millennial sheep pay their Hodinkified prices.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Well, it’s like every time Hodinkee does an in depth, it starts a feeding frenzy and prices go way up. So if you wanted to sell, now is the time to make a profit.

Yeah sure, it makes me want to run right out and buy a $52,500 Eichi II

I love the Eichi II. So beautifully simple, and so much care taken by hand. But I will never spend that much on a watch, sadly.

Exactly my feelings.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t Hodinkee sell GS in their store; hence the “article”.

This watch might be top of my list. I do wish the steel didn't have the blue second hand, but hey, I'm not spending $30K for the platinum version. I also wish the dauphine hands were faceted rather than flat with knife edge, but i could live with it. Excellent piece in nearly every way for my tastes.

To be fair, they don’t hide that it’s a sponsored article.

I like the one I posted better, and it costs only a tenth of the Eichi II.
