    After and before an evening surf with the Captain in some glorious, glassy two footers. The background, a storm brewing out over the Pacific, beat the watch in the first shot. It doesn't get much better than this for an evening swim and body surf. Some kicked up quite nicely and really spat me out. I am glad I went with the strap.

    Speaking of straps, I'm also glad I had the 18mm curved springbars and keeper-less NATO from my Vero because the flat, quick release springbars and black NATO that Rado provided are useless. The hooded lugs and hole placement means it simply doesn't want to let a strap through with flat springbars, let alone a NATO.
