At the same time, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to like it. Almost a bit too much of a mirror to society.

I watched the movie Unsane over the weekend. A woman is involuntarily committed to a mental institution and the viewer has to figure out if she's crazy or not. The movie was not very good and I wouldn't recommend it. It was a solid concept but it needed a few more rewrites to really make it compelling.

Rotten Tomatoes has it at 80% but the viewer score is only 57%.

    Murder on the Orient Express

A pretty entertaining movie if you haven’t read the book. Poirot is characterized differently and they take some major liberties with the story, including condensing two characters into one and allowing people to leave the train while stopped, which takes away from the overall feel of the movie. It’s supposed to be claustrophobic and closed off, but it’s betrayed by that detail. And the movie glosses over a lot of the important evidence gathering parts of the novel, which in turn makes Poirot look more like a magical TV detective than a real investigator. Still, if you can ignore that, it’s a decent movie.

Bummer. I really like the original story and hoped for more. I'll probably watch it anyway.

One thing that got me is that the audiobook I heard of Murder on the Orient Express was voiced by Dan Stevens (of Downton Abbey, The Guest, and Legion), and I just imagined him as Poirot; so seeing it as Branagh, with that silly face hair and over the top mannerisms, really threw me off. The danger of audiobooks.
