James
Shown here with my eldest daughter
He is old and diabetic now which means he has to have insulin injections twice a day. He gets bribed with some chicken to stay still enough for his jab and he is used to our inexpert fumbling

I switched mine to Lantus and he's very stable and only has to be regulated once a day at most.
What insulin are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

I also use hypos with the Lantus pens.
Best of luck. You have to be a person with a big heart and a lot of love to care for sick animals. I've got a lot bigger problems than just cat diabetes at our house so it's been very difficult. But hey, I'm loved, so I try to take the same care I'm afforded.

A diabetic cat is bad enough, but I agree with you. I would do more, were it required.
We had a little black cat named Minnie (the Moocher), who we called the Little Ball of Hate, and she lived for more than six years getting two insulin shots a day. Our vet had her on porcine insulin.

Oh, wait, that's not my pet. I might see her again this December though.

Cracker,
He is a large 17 year old manx/ ragdoll cross.
And this is Austin (P. Pussycat)
He is also very large, but being a rescued feral cat, he is very nervous. And cold. In this picture he is sucking the warmth out of the DVR. They both used to be around 20 pounds, but Cracker has lost a fair bit of weight that last few years.
