The Palometa jack are extraordinary fish. They are almost invisible in the water. With my super long fins I could swim a little faster than them, so I swam with them for a few minutes.

Speaking of extraordinary...
The scorpion fish/ stonefish family are some of the most venomous fish on earth. If one is punctured by it's spines one can die. They are also virtually impossible to see as they look like rocks they hang around.
There is a video here of a few species of scorpionfish. The one at around 15 seconds seems to be a similar species to the one in the photos.

It might look plant like but it is a sea plume, which is a member of the gorgonian coral family. There is at least one jellyfish in the background too.
