IWL Anniversary NATO - Discussion Thread

With the discussion of a IWL Anniversary NATO going in the other Anniversary thread I thought it would be good to have a thread for all design ideas as submitted by IWL members.

Please used the attached template for your design. I have found it pretty easy to use MS Paint to create decent mock-ups. If your skills go beyond paint, by all means use better software. In Paint I use a little opacity so that the ribs of the NATO are still visible below the color but YMMV.

Pending Mod decisions we'll probably have a vote on the designs at some point.

I used the Chrome Plug-in "ColorZilla" to grab the color codes for the logo colors form the main forum logo.

    Gold: 246, 174, 39 or #F6AE27
    Gray: 99, 99, 99 or #636363
    White: 246, 249, 249 or #F6F8F9

If any of these are wrong someone with that knowledge, could you please correct me?

    Happy designing!

is there any thoughts you can put in about what works and what don't or what is easier to produce in quantity ?

As long as it's color stripes I can tell you with 100% certainty that it can be done and easily produced in quantity. The zig-zag designs or other pattern designs might be more difficult to produce and/or cost more, I'm not sure as I've never had a request for something like that. If a design like that wins the "contest" then we'll go down that road. For now though I'd say use your imagination and come up with pretty much any pattern of stripes. Mirrored designs work just as well as off-set designs so have some fun.

    I really like this one.

Depending on sizes I'd be in for a few of whatever design wins.
