I've always wondered how much of this is truly personal as it would really be down to experience.
I take a lot of photos of places and whereas for most cities, it is the landmark buildings and architecture that mark the character of the place, Venice stands out to me in that it is more to do with what is in between the buildings.
So, what made you think Venice; was it just because it was water or was there something else?
