Is your gold watch on a strap or a gold bracelet?

Some time after I bought my gold Connie I saw an era appropriate gold bracelet and thought what the heck, I'll get that incase I ever want to use it. That bracelet sat in the parts box for many years and I never used it. The all gold look didn't grow on me so a strap is all I have ever wore on that watch. Just sold the bracelet.

Does anyone here have a gold bracelet on your gold watch?

One of my old Longines came on a gold bracelet and I thought it looked way too blingy. It's on a dark brown leather strap now. But then I put all my watches on straps instead of bracelets, so I'm not the best barometer for such things.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

I think it's perfectly fine to love a gold watch but not a gold bracelet.
That's not to say bracelets are not wonderful feats of design engineering, just that in gold they're jewelry.

I used to have an 18k watch on an 18k bracelet, but it was way too much gold (heavy and ostentatious), way too soft a metal and way too rare for it to see much use. A handful of years after I had it restored at RGM, I sold it. I'm not a big fan of yellow gold.

My only 18k wristwatch these days is on straps:

I would love to have one of these in Rose:

Or one of these in rose or white gold:
