Hopefully the "R" forum does not get too jealous!

Anywho, my father-in-law, bless his heart/spirit, once asked me to dispose of two watches. One was a LeCoultre Mariner of sorts that had some battle damage and then there was this Rolex Cellini. Now, with my family, my Opa (mother's side) sold watches, but only kept the very cheapest for himself. So I offered to buy these two watches from my FIL just to keep them in the family. Much more interesting than what my dear Opa passed on.

So here is the Rolex Cellini. My FIL was a top buyer for the then big time Sears and traveled the Orient. He had this one done for him. The bracelet is pure Rolex. When was the last time you saw an integral bracelet on a Rolex?

As with most Cellini's, they aren't for everyone. i dare say I would not buy this, but am proud to have if from my FIL. As for the money shot, here is the movement:

Nice running watch. I just don't wear it where it will get stolen.

What's your story?
