We'll see when Halios actually gets them out. Might not be until after the holidays given Halios' track record recently.

$1000 is a nice round number ib have come to accept as the Affordables upper limit, but I do wonder if that is conditioning.
For me, Affordable ends at £500 which is not far off $600 I guess, and even then, the upper half of that range requires much thought and self analysis even before trying to broach the subject with my wife.
£500 is the kind of money we would like to put into a holiday for all while family, not just my very selfish enjoyment.
I enjoy the "max $1000" definition because it opens up a hell of a lot of high quality choice outside of the main players of the "entry level" brands.

That's a really good point. Jason makes great watches but is a little slow on delivery. Well worth the wait thought!

I consider $1000 of my Aussie Dollars (currently around $850 USD) as "affordable" for me.
This also happens to be a good number to keep under when purchasing from overseas as it means I don't incur the 10% GST (tax).

I don't think you can fix a value on "affordable"
Some folks can afford £100,000. The next guy £5.
I'd say it is the price at which if you lost it you could replace it without borrowing to do so.
Which watch today Churchy?

For me $700 american is the limit of "affordable". I am also limiting myself to not affordable myself into living in a cardboard box. One of those per year will do.
Like others have said, that amount should not create a financial issue. However, for the sake of argument, you could cap it at $1000- $1500 as that's the middle of the road asking price for lower end Swiss and above for the Japs of equivalent specs.

About $5-600 for me I think :-) I would still need to work extra to use that amount, but could rather easy do it :-)
