    You want to talk about the ultimate in movement finishing? This may be it.

    Philippe Dufour Simplicity. Pictures from the Monochrome article posted in our newsfeed section. I know not everyone religiously checks that subforum, and these deserve to be seen. Unbelievable.

    Look at the incredible pointed details, both the pointy ones and the one that is a concave point (if you know what I mean). That level of detail is far beyond what Lange, Patek, Vacheron, etc. do. It is all decorative--it serves no functional purpose. Doing that kind of perfect finishing on those sharp points is insanely difficult. Also, look at how mirror-smooth the polishing of those perfectly rounded beveled edges is. They stand out so brightly in contract to the Geneva stripes that they almost look like they were colored in...
