    Couple of Old Russians





    We don't have a Russian forum (yet) but I like these two as either affordable or vintage.
    I'm not a big fan of either the submarine or tank versions of Russian watches so a few years ago I asked about dress watches in the Russian Forum elsewhere. The Members soon set me straight and one nice guy even offered to sell me a couple he had had restored.
    These were originally sold in the UK I believe and were made ca 1980 in Belarus by Luch. They are 23 jewel slim units and run well. They are tough to wind because the winding gear train has some extra wheels to keep the movement thin.
    Very interesting pieces though.
