    Why modify a watch?

Apart from changing the crystal, why do it?

Everyone likes to have something a bit more unique than the other guy, so modifying is always one way to achieve that distinction.

Isn't changing straps and bracelets a form of modification?

    Why modify a watch?

Well I suppose watches are very personal and some want them to be better or different. I say all good if it's a keeper and be very descriptive if you are selling it. I know Seiko freaks like making-buying mods

Yes I agree but there comes a point when ( I'm guessing) it won't happen?

Would someone mod a submariner or speedmaster?
