    This week wearing one of my Seiko 7000-8000s, pictured here yesterday in a very ill-lit pub meeting Colin63's 7005 - same movement except with a date and autowinding added.



    These 70xx movements were the basis for the ubiquitous 7s26. The addition of the day function seems to have tipped the movement away from being good for thin designs - I was very taken by Colin's 7005. Thin and broad-seeming despite being only 37mm maximum.
