    Thanks for all the info , as per usual i can rely on some expert opinions . I must admit i was only looking as normal and thought that both would make some good discussion and keep the old brain matter moving (especially in my case.)

    yeah the movement had a lot of work as I thought real enough just heavily restored

    new made possible old parts as dial case hands look brand new but has a movement a 2609ha from the marking could be anywhere from 1962 but very plane movement so would think newer movement then that so mid 80's at a guess for the movement

    mean we know smersh was coined by Joseph Stalin in 1943 and was combination of three independent counterintelligence agencies in the Red Army.. with there famous motto death to spies ..

    so my take a new tourist piece using available old movements ...

    so to be fair if under £50 well maybe £40 might have been worth a punt just for fun

    like this one .. but my take can't really see the movement clearly from the couple of pics I looked at .. so yeah would go with that if they say nos if 2000 plus falls in to the nos category ..

    and I did once describe a 2003 apr as old new stock as I had never really used it and it had all papers box mint so yeah think ok not a bad price for a newish watch
