    ** CLOCKS YOU SAY **

Some of you may remember a while ago I posted a picture of a Slava alarm clock I had purchased of the bay for £1.71 .http://www.intlwatchleague.com/showt...t-Thread/page8

Well as I said then it may turn into something more and a couple of months down the line this is the stage I’m at .

The pride and joy of the collection so far is the one from the early 60’s celebrating the Russian space programme, this particular example I picked up quite cheaply from the Ukraine and I think is genuine although it’s hard to say as I have seen others with red rockets and they are going west to east, also I have seen one with a red base .So what is genuine or not I have no idea .It’s a lovely shape just like a globe the (plastic?) crystal has quite a dome on it to match the back which has a map mainly of the Russian side (what else) of the globe though. Inside is the usual Slava 11 jewel movement ticking away nicely.

I did manage to pick up one for spares that works ok but has the back missing and the rocket.
The others are a nice couple in a similar vein with a few shared parts and the latest to the collection is a neat travelling alarm clock.

Also I could not resist this nice (in my eyes) Czechoslovakian Prim alarm clock from the 1970’s that was going for a song.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these and it goes to show how this watch collecting can move in different directions sometimes (if you’re not careful). Please add if you have any. I hope to post some videos at some stage of the alarms in action. DW.

VERY nice collection, thank you for sharing! The space Slava is impressive, but oddly, the blue/gold/white Slava really grabs me.
