    **** Pleasing Dials ****

Well I have notice of late how much I like the CWC / Pulsar / Hammy / Bulova dial set up it is pleasing to my eyes and the numbers are clear the minute markers are clean too.

Minimal dial writing to the point of what's what and no more. the lume is fair it's simple pleasing to the eye I have found now am focusing on that on watches more then before love my diver's and the other but the simple clean beauty of this sort of dial please me some pics of various watches with the sort of dial I mean

So have you got a type of dial you like my second is the Panerai type dial clear simple and please again a few examples of what I mean

and soon to be cased blue delight

Tell me your favourite if you would like

This used to be one of my favourites until my dad destroyed it.
His watch but I'm still pi55ed

I too like the Archive and the Eaglemoss you showed. Was thinking of getting a better sandwich dial for them though.
What dial is that one you showed?

Case is easy except for one screw refuses to come out on caseback.
    Movement still works.
Dial used to be silver. Can't find one cheap.
    Crystal. Can't find one cheap.

yeah was thinking professionally done remember one of the members kev had a lovely old watch it had been well loved belong to his granddad I think it was and it was in a bit of a tired state but you could see the inner beauty of the watch well he and I could and when it came back the transformation was striking.

Is it the dial or the crystal that is damaged had one that I thought the dial was a right off but when opened up it was in a good shape and the crystal was shot have you ever thought of trying to make your own crystal remember not sure if it was here or there but a lad came on to the mwc thread with one of the mwc watches with a busted crystal and he had made a new one for it himself made it a lot thicker and edged if I remember right

If I could get a dial and crystal for a decent price (and get the last pesky screw out maybe with alum) I would be ok doing all the work myself except for the movement service.

Crystal cracked. I suspect old gaskets and the crack allowed moisture in and turned the dial green.

Intrigued by the diy crystal although not for this watch.

    Enough OT.

    Love your blue dial above.

This one for the limitless number of shades it can appear.

This took the basic black to the next level. Simple and elegant.

This one for the beautiful enamel finish and the classic numbering along with the Ball & Co. "7".

    Cheers,

    Michael

Tell everyone you saw it on IWL!
