Leon Cupra is still just a juiced version of a GTI with a different body, right?

Yes it does, really. You hit the nail on the head. Or maybe a Factory Five Cobra.
Oh, I'd so get one of those.

I have a couple "Locost" (DIY Lotus 7/Caterham) books. One has a complete set of frame drawings/BOM. Sitting unused since before I got into watches, because I don't have a shop to do it. Won't throw them out though... Dreams of an old Lexus 4.0 V8, my Supra's drivetrain, in a 1500 lbs Lotus clone, ...er homage?
Sigh again...

The Civic weighs about 3100lbs, 306hp should be enough to get close to that 108mph trap speed.
As a data point, I had a 2001 Pontiac that was rated at 320hp/345tq. It made around 305hp to the rear tires. I took it to the strip when new, it ran 12.7@110. Race weight was ~3600lbs with me in the driver's seat.
PS - it was a 6 speed manual, Raza
