    Yahoo!

This is one of my favourite games. However, I'm obsessed with (and only really up to speed on) very old quartz at the moment, so I'm going to have refocus a bit.

    That Arbor looks pretty tasty...

Just stumbled across this thread and I love it! Great idea and I'm also learning a few new sites to waste hours browsing for bargains! Can I play? Coincidentally got two possibles today! I think this one though, but I'll see when it arrives next week...

Thanks... what can I say, I'm a sucker for a Seiko. I don't have the depth in my wallet of many of the contributors here but that's not important, what's great is everyone loves everyone else's collection and passion. And blimey, I do love some of the watches I see posted here!

And I'm off. I've promised myself that I'm not going to end up blowing a fortune this time, but this one I'd have bought anyway. So here's an enigmatic first picture that also gives a solid impression of just how battered this one is:

It's a high quality seven jewel quartz that is a direct relation to the very first quartz made by this company. Their first quartz movement, launched in '72 was followed by this one which slowly evolved until it found its way into this high specification dive watch towards the end of the seventies.

What's not to like? (if you like battered watches that will need a hard kick to actually work?)

I wonder if I can get a bezel insert...
