That's the trailer's fault. I never watch the full trailer - 30 seconds or so does it for me.

I also didn’t watch the full trailer at first, but yes, I agree that’s the trailer’s fault. However, to be fair, I watch TV on an Apple TV, so they run featured trailers on the home page when you open the box, so it actually plays the Dark Matter trailer automatically sometimes while I’m looking for something to watch. Very annoying and it made the full trailer nigh unavoidable for me. Luckily I didn’t see the whole thing until after I watched the first two episodes, but even in the little I’d seen before, it was most of the first two episodes’ major plot points.

So I would wholeheartedly recommend not even looking at the trailer if you can avoid it.

I've liked it as well, though takes a slightly weird turn towards the last couple of episodes.

I both love and adore Helen Miren. In a similar vein, Catherine Hepburn was gorgeous to the day she died. I question anyone who doesn't describe her character in On Golden Pond as hot and/or sexy; hilarious is a given.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

This has been on my list for a bit, for sure. I’m a fan of noir, neo-noir, modern noir, any private detective stories really, and Colin Farrell, so it’s right up my alley. Which, it seems, is when I’m most disappointed, so I have been dragging my heels. But this gives me a little confidence to try it.

I’ve never seen On Golden Pond, but every time it’s mentioned, it always reminds me of this clip from the severely underrated Mike Tyson Mysteries (RIP Norm):

Yep, got weird! I suspected something during the fight scene then when I saw the needle I was like yep! I'm very excited for the next episode. @Raza it gets weird mate.

I hadn’t seen the trailer, and one minute into episode one you still knew the overall plot. Similarly, the “mysterious man in the mask” was not mysterious at all from the moment he appeared. This overall concept has been done many times, so I’m hoping there will be some more interesting explorations as it moves along. I do agree about Jennifer Connolly still looking fantastic, and Alice Braga isn’t bad, either.

Yeah I don't mind a hackneyed premise (I mean, what isn't?) as long as its executed well. Keep churning them out as far a I'm concerned.
