    The specialist British naval divers undertake a very demanding role performing under the toughest conditions.
    Between 1982 and 1989 around 3400 Precista PRS watches were supplied to the Navy.
    Early on they would have been mechanical but due to the harsh nature of the divers work environment they were soon superseded by cheaper, more reliable Quartz movements.

    The French Navy started to use Tudor brand divers watches for Naval Divers and Marine Commandos in the 1960s.
    Tudor is a more affordable sub brand of Rolex, they use Swiss ETA or Valjoux movements but have similar styling.
