During the 1970s the French military became very active in the former French Equitoral African countries of Chad, Gabon, Central African Republic, and Congo. They provided Assistance to Chad and Congo against guerillas, cooperating with Belgian and American Forces in a hostage rescue. In 1979 French Specialist forces began an operation to oust President Bokassa, following International outrage at his role in the massacre of Children.
French Specialist troops were trained in new tactics and issued with enhanced equipment to improve communications and coordination. One such piece of equipment was the Auricoste Valjoux 7765 Chronograph, today these rare watches are highly sought after.

I don't think I can say this any other way, The Auricoste is a fabulous timepiece, sadly the Eaglemoss version loses the originals key features.
