Fingerprints

Wife and I were in Omaha, NE today. Her Uncle just had a quadruple bypass...but seems as ok as one in that situation is going to get. Prognosis is good.

While there I seized the opportunity to visit Borsheims.

I have personally never seen so many Watches in one place. I recall seeing Cartier, Longines, Hamilton, Tissot, Raymond Weil, Citizen, Seiko, Tag Heuer, Breitling, Omega, Zenith and Jaeger Lecoultre.

I left my fingerprints on at least 100K worth of watches.

My Wife really loved the Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic Universal Time. And now I think she really wants a Breitling Colt 36 with Mother of Pearl Dial... But she also really likes the Solar T-Touch with Mother of Pearl dial. So, whatever she wants I guess.

While there I was able try on the the Avenger II Seawolf (albeit yellow dial with rubber strap) and the Omega Seamaster Diver. I very much liked them both, but honestly, the Seamaster was the one that really spoke to me. It is amazing in person...But so is the Avenger

So far the only sales peoples I've dealt with were the joyless souls selling Oris and Rolex at Sartor Hamann, and the teenagers selling Movado, Gshock and Invicta in the Mall. To spend time with people whose knowledge of watches was greater than mine, was quite frankly, an absolute joy. We spent a couple of hours there. My wife admits she had way more fun than she was expecting. We were treated wonderfully, with no real pressure to walk out with anything right this now. I can't wait to do business with them.

So at this point, I'm leaning heavily towards the Omega, she's the one who spoke to me the most today. Soon...

Between nearly jogging case to case and the literal platoon of armed guards I kind of forgot...
