The Peoples Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) was established in 1949, they used Soviet supplied MiG-15 as a defence force, and soon after became involved with the Korean War.
In the 60s the alliance between the USSR and China weakened and China was forced to use home built equipment for its armed forces.
The Tianjin Watch Company built the first Chinese produced with in 1961, and in 1963, using Swiss tooling, Pilot Chronographs for the Air Force

35.2mm plated and polished finish. 37.3mm including crown, 43.2mm lug to lug, 9.2mm deep. 30.7mm interior aperture.
5mm grooved crown.29.7mm flat glass.
Case backs embossed with Eaglemoss logo and description of the watch, Chinese Airforce

30.6mm matt Silver coloured dial with a small Red star below the 12 marker
Black printed minute scale at outer edge, Arabic numerals at at 5 minute intervals.
Hours indicated with applied chrome effect markers roman numerals at 12-3-6-9 and triangular batons between
Baton shaped polished finish hours and minutes hand and red thin straight seconds hand.
Standard EM Epson AL55a movement.

18mm tan leather, tapers slightly to a 16mm polished buckle, aprox 180-220mm fitting.

Again this watch is supposed to represent a very well known Pilot Chronograph, the Tianjin 1963, but without the sub dials and pushers there is little resemblance

There are many reproductions available and the original factory, now privatised, is producing remakes of the original that are very well regarded.
