Managed to try on a few “new watches” in the last week. Some thoughts:
Grand Seiko “Snowflake”: as @mlcor knows, a stunning watch. It wears smaller than I thought it would. Also, seems thinner than its 12.5mm. The shade of white on the dial is very similar to my GS GMT (mine though has 50 little lions). Will always be tempted by it.
Omega Railmaster: Tried on both the dark and lighter dial. Size wise it fit perfectly. However, while the Snowflake wore thinner than its 12.5mm, the Railmaster seemed thicker than it 12.65mm. Of course, that could just per perception.
Rolex “Smurf”: if it was SS I would have a hard time not buying it. Love the blue.
Rolex “Hulk”: If it was possible to get one, could be tempted by it in a few years. Probably prefer the Smurf.
Cartier Drive Extra Flat 39mm: tried on the rose gold version again. Hope to never see the SS version when it is released in September. Can’t think of any reason not to buy it.
VC Historiques 1948 Triple Calendar:

A limited edition of 200. Alas I do not have unlimited funds...

The only watch I took a photo of because I will never try it on again. Love the thinness, but the watch is not for me. Doubt I could ever get over how much it feels like a toy. If I wanted an ultra-thin I would get the VC Historiques Ultra-Fine 1955.
Don’t know whether I will go down the one more high-end watch road or the 2-3 mid-tier road. No idea what watch the former; for the latter probably the Snowflake, Cartier Drive, and a Rolex.
